I used to see bikers occasionally around Avila Beach, when my family would vacation there. I go up and down around the coast a lot (although not necessarily by bike) so I doubt you could go wrong...

It's been about two years now. I went car free for environmental and social reasons (ie, didn't really need one where I live). I don't miss it, frankly!
