The definition of "townie" is pretty universal....

The definition of "townie" is pretty universal. Townie bikes have a very distinct look and commonly feature upright/swept back bars, full fenders, racks, baskets, etc.

Thanks. I was a little put off by the cable stops at first but now that the bike is done, they really don't bug me. I may even end up going freewheel with this someday and putting them to use.
