It's an Al frame, and a pretty heavy one at that (low-end CX frame). Thanks for the consolation - I'll ignore the dent. I'll fix up the housing though and keep an eye on the cables for fraying.

Thanks! I'll take a closer look at the cables. I think they just got squished a bit and are otherwise OK. Fortunately they are shifter cables so shouldn't be experiencing too much tension anyway.

I use it on my bicycle chains pretty often. Actually like it more than Finish Line Ceramic and a few other bike-specific lubes. It gets the chain pretty quiet and keeps it that way for 100+ miles....
