Thanks guys. I had a bit of a scare with some numbness in important man nether regions and chalked that up to Sax and the shorts riding up and compressing (and me being an idiot and "plowing...

Seat recommendations?

So far, I've been enjoying my first foray into gravel biking on my Davinci Hatchet 105, which feels like a Ferrari compared to my old Rocky Mountain hybrid... but I do find the seat to be too hard,...

Ah ok. They list 40c as the widest tire in the specs. I'm guessing you guys take the bike in for a test fitment before you commit to new tires/wheels?

That's interesting. So say the tires had like 50 miles on them, but sat for years in a garage or basement. Are you saying the tire compound starts to deteriorate?

Necroing this thread, but would you buy a mint 2006 Specialized Rockhopper Comp with 26" wheels in 2020, for ~$350 USD?

Who's riding the "wrong" frame size?

I'm 6'1" and a bit. I'm pretty desperate at this point, and had an XL hybrid (bike theft, stock is non-existent) that fit well for road, but felt a little tippy for off-road trails. I'm leaning...

Salt and Bike Care (undercoating?)

Does anyone do anything extra in the winter as far as keeping the salt from damaging the metal components? Thinking undercoating or some sort of protective grease.

I wish I could just hose it all...

I lol'ed.

Yeah, like I'm 42, and while I'm in great shape, I'm talking more navigating tree roots, rocks and ruts in the various MTB trails around here. There just happens to be a Giant STP 1...

Giant STP 1 hardtail

I'm pretty sure I'm going for a gravel bike for most of my riding, but want a MTB I can beat up and not worry about, when I'm doing more rugged off-road single track trails.
Trying to catch up to...

This is great info. Yeah, locally where I am in Canada, inventory is completely tapped out: I've literally been calling and asking if they have anything in an XL frame.

I'm think I don't want a...

Garage is getting reno'ed. It's going to have steel doors and a dead bolt, so they're going to be making a helluva racket trying to get that open for bikes.

Cool. What do you think of Iron Horse bikes? There's an Iron Horse G-Out from circa '00 that's pretty cheap and looks mint. I think they did well back in the day, but they went bankrupt, so not...

Bike Stolen: super bummed, but time to re-think?

So I'm in my early 40s, just started biking again 2 years ago after a 25 year hiatus and love it: was averaging about 80K a week, just after-work 1-hour rips on the paved bike trails mostly, but...
