I took an existing 2" hitch mount bike rack, got rid of its vertical column, took 2 Thule roof mount racks, cut them in half, welded two L shaped support frames with 1" steel...

The steer tube is about 2 inches too short.

So I cut the thread portion off....

My google searches suggest that the first number is year code, and next 2 numbers are month code. So 311 would be 1983 November, But 468 just blows that theory out of water. :)

I got hold of a free Norco frame this week, and I could not find the model of it.


The serial number is DSBM 4110xxxx. So after some googling, I think it is made in Taiwan by Dodsun...
