Well, it's time to let this one go. I hate to do so but it will make for a really fun build on a sweet mid 80's frame or resto mod.

Definitely have your BB and headset cleaned up and re-greased. Perhaps a riser bar for a more upright position and alleviate stress on the lower back.

I'm not sure if they all use the same springs. Mine is a Simplex Criterium which is a newer version of a Prestige. It's an early 70's model. Maybe there are a few French experts on here...
