What do you do when someone gives you a free GT Outpost frame? You make a project out of it. I just hope I don't get attached, ha!

My bike (Giant Rincon 1 page back) weighs in at a SOLID 36.4lbs. Seatpost, stem, bars, are all steel and the frame is straight gauge chromoly.

They are Shimano STI "push-push" shifters (push to shift up, push diff lever to shift down.) Apparently they can be a nightmare and cause people tons of problems, but I haven't had them do anything...

This thing gets more use than my road bikes, or my hardtail these days. It is heavy as heck but it serves it's purpose well. Rolls well and does not fall apart on the sh*tty roads to/from work.

I swore when I finished the build that was only temporary... but hell. I have put about 500 miles on it with the tube wrap and honestly, it is perfect for a gently abused daily commuter :p
