650 x 50 any experience?

I enjoy the 47mm tires but debating more volume saw 650 x 50 look amazing but will a huge tire ruin the pavement experience....I do 30 % road to gravel on most rides...

they just don't grab I was very surprised to learn that I was not able to slow bike on hard turn and went into the brush..
Not sure of any brake in time needed...but they failed.

New 650b gravel bike came in mail Friday spend Saturday building it up adjusting and replacing stuff 1st ride was 20 miles of mostly hard pack, some single track bike was great.
I debated for ever...

New GWB pedestrian walk open

GWB ped bridge is open and very nice.but adds a ton of time to the ride across. They built it on the other side west ny into nj really nice

650 wheel gravel bike as Mtb?

Is a 650 wheeled gravel bike a viable options for use as a primary mtb. I tend to stick to clean single or double track not techical. Would a graveler with 650 wheels make the ride fun or a disaster....

I go 2 times week maybe...to do light weights for strength and stretch 15 mins..i use treadmill if unable or willing to ride. Helps me to feel OK. For springtime.

my flexibility or lack there of is an issue as lifting leg over bike can be difficult on a not so flexy day...on smaller frames it is easier.

yeah about same here. had surgery last june 6th..riding by august...no pain just weak. 1 year later stronger than prior to surgery..had radiation in January. feelng good today.

i use 9 speed brifters and i like them very much.
crisp clean shifting...maybe not as refined as the old 9 speed dura ace it replaced but they are good.

love my bike but it has limited tire clearance 35mm is rear max but front fork has a ton more clearance. Is there any advantage to using bigger tire out front......
