Haha, that's what I did. I had an alloy group and then aquiered a tommasini with carbon record. The alloy group went on the tommasini and I ended up with a chromeless colnago for the carbon group.

I think the right adaptor and spacers would look alright, but not as good as a quill or true threadless. The saddle and pedals actually draw my eyes more than the stem.
