For long tour, I prefer around 100km.(62.5miles) per day, ending my ride around noon. The longest ride I've done is 198km.(about 125miles) for the day. That was on a SAG 5 days tour on road bike....

I think the bottom holes near the dropouts will take on the rear rack mount quite well. However, for the top rack attachment, I'd use seat post clamp with rack mount. This is what I have.
