The purpose of the gusset plate is to lay weld in line to the direction of forces. From the last picture, you can see substantial amount of welding (the slot weld to gusset) in line to forces....

You may have good material properties for the tubular, but shoddy welding/brazing...

How is the rear hinge part done? Do you use Brompton parts for that? Or the titanium rear hinge comes with its own bushing and bolts. Also I think for the Brompton, you need some funky reaming tool...
