No, I already did it. I disconnected the cables from the brakes, installed the hoods starting from the end of the brake cables, then reinstalled the cables.

Got it worked out. Removed the brake cables and the whole shifter assembly and slid the hoods on the other way. Had to suck it up and remove 3 day old bar tape.
