I crashed and put a small dent in the top tube of my steel Bridgestone MB-2 mountain bike the bike's maiden ride in 1993. Rode it for 21 years without an issue. Still riding it around town some.

It sounds like the did the test on an erogometer and they are looking for the lowest lactate build up at a particular power output. It makes sense that most are over LT for a 6 min. effort.
