It really depends on the trails but I would recommend spending a bit more - your essentially buying a bike to beat up, you want it to be decent quality!

I don't know if I full agree with this...but I would say don't get caught up in too much upgrades when you'd be shocked how good some of the lower grade components are.

I have made some mistakes racing for sure. The one that Carleton is referring to back in 2017 or 2016 was a 1 lapped rider and it was a complete accident.... in the heat of the race we were passing...
