That's not an ideal place to mount a waterbottle, especially if your bike lacks mudguards. So why is it there? I mount a fuel bottle there when I'm bike camping.

It's a mid-level "sport-touring" bike; not a "team" racing bike by any means. Trek's racing team bikes were custom frames, built to spec for individual riders.

I'd want to see it in person before passing judgement on it. The head angle does look steep, but that's a pretty tall frame and a steep head angle and slack seat angle is one way to lengthen the top...
