I have ridden a set of 650b x 38mm Gravel Kings...

I have ridden a set of 650b x 38mm Gravel Kings for about 1200 miles so far. No flats, comfortable - a good all-around ride. 40 - 45psi.

fyi - If your 1980 410 has similar geometry/clearances to my 1985 410 - you could fit 38mm tires with a 650b wheel set. I really like the way my 410 rides - cushy without being sluggish.

I like it. The bars, 38mm gumwalls in 650b, and the fact that it's a mixte give it a special look. Keep it locked-up if you're riding around town. Nice work.
