I did, still suffered a ruptured ear drum, fractured cheek bone, and severe concussion. Roadie helmets are junk. Nowadays if I'm wearing a helmet I wear one with decent protection.

I can ride all day at 15mph and not sweat and use roughly 15-20 calories per mile, or ride at 25mph and sweat and use 35 cals per mile.
