I agree, the Continental coca-cola sidewalls do look black when dirty. Conversely the skin or gum wall tires look dirty when they get dirty.

Looks better with black sidewalls. In my opinion most CV bikes do, although not period correct. I’ve kind of compromised by using Gatorskins which have a dark brown sidewall. Really though, nice...
