I've used both, the Fizik is easier to keep clean. Buy the Fizik Bar gel also if you want it to be cushier. It's not as thick as the Bar Phat gel and works well.

Sheldon also says that it is a conservative estimate and your probably ok with a larger size tire. I usually just go one over on the chart. For me that would be a 700x35 tire.
