50 isn't big enough for what I need to do. I spun out 50x11 at 110rpm or more for over six miles today.

Why not get a recumbent? It solves all of the pain problems a road bike creates and vastly increases efficiency. I dethroned a cat1 rider in Niles canyon in the East bay area using a bent.
