Not sure it's the frameset that's the problem if you're worried about weight. A Mr. Pink frameset is 6.5 lbs and i would guess the tarmac is not nearly that heavy.

I believe the TIR is the same, lengthwise, as the XL but wider. I'm 6'2/150 and the XL uno fits me really well. So at 5'10 the XL might be too long.

All that said, you should really try them on...
