I'll answer the question myself: there is NO flooding on the trail from Bemidji to Laporte. We had clear skies, decent temps, and smooth pavement. What more could a cyclist want?

I was just driving west on Dodge when I noticed that the Big Papio Trail is torn up just north of Dodge -- just north of the hotel/motel that is there.

Now that the remodeled Pacific St. bridge is open, there is a safe way of crossing I 680 for bikes and pedestrians. It puts you within shouting distance of the Big Papio Trail.
