Borrowed my 9 speed Shadow XT rear der from my ATB, and bought a 10 speed SLX cassette (11-34) and a new (longer chain). Works great, just needed to use a shorter rear cable housing. FYI

The spokes on the right flange are under higher tension than the left flange, due to the need to have the wheel dished...making those spokes riadial means they are NOT carring any additional tension...
