You made me curious, so I weighed my 58cm 1984 Raleigh Gran Course frame/fork (made from Reynolds DB 531c): 6.04 lbs on my hanging scale.

And just to be pedantic before noglider chimes in, those are cantilever brakes, not center pull.

Hmm, from the looks of that trigger and what looks like a bell crank on the rear hub, Iíd guess itís a Shimano unit rather than Sturmey-Archer. The British-made Sports shed a small tear.
