I love my RR's so far, however mostly dry to loose packed dirt and gravel in our area now, no real mud. I'm running 20 lbs max, and weigh about the same as the OP. Bike weighs 27-ish lbs.

Look into the "sports basement" rental program. They also have local rides and groups that they can recommend for your skill level. It's a hilly area so get used to climbing home in both directions

I was told the wires ran small, they don't. The dealer had a sale on the fluro yellows in 43 and I jumped on the deal. I figured it's easier to wear a slightly large shoe rather than a small shoe.
