FWIW, I am running 26x1.95 tires on my DC, and love the feel. It feels more nimble than when I use 700cx38 setup. Given the drop in bottom bracket, i went from 175mm cranks to 170mm.

I have found one advantage of DT friction...

I have found one advantage of DT friction shifters is that i can use any cassette on the back. I can easily use 8,9, or 10 speed rear wheel with virtually no hassle.
