I have been a loyal Specialized Roubaix user for years now and it's all I'll use as it is fairly cushy and makes for a slightly thicker bar. I also believe Carleton is a fan too.

I really like the screw-type link on my Izumi....

I really like the screw-type link on my Izumi. Are the side plates specially made for these or could I hypothetically pop the pin out of a 710sl and use a spare screw from an Izumi?

Had a look through the Protip thread, but didn't see it mentioned. Any recommendations on tool boxes or solutions for storing your basic gear (chainring, cogs, pliers, allenkeys, wrench, etc...) nice...

At just over $100, is there anything that makes these so amazing? You can basically get a full set of 13-16 DA cogs for that price!
