Thanks for the info about Trygg, SirMike1983. I think I might actually go with the Pletscher double kickstand. The Trygg kickstands seem a bit hard to find.

Thanks Amesja! I didn't know that the cable housing would have much or any effect on the braking. It's a shame to replace though as I do like the "ribbed" look.

I notice you have the same kickstand as I do and not the Pletschers that I've seen on other Raleighs. I wonder if this is also a sign of a Malaysian made Raleigh.
