Dangit I never noticed the levers being a bit too low but I saw this comment before my ride last night and couldn't stop thinking about it. Might explain why things have always felt a little odd....

FWIW I really like the Soma Highway One bars, they're a modern compact shape but are available in 26.0mm and polished silver. Can be a bit of a bear to get a quill stem without a removable faceplate...

This does have the slot at the back. I had a lot of issues with the angle slipping until I really really wrenched down on the nuts. Thank god they're steel and fairly large diameter.
