I must say, this entire thread makes me so happy I live in Hawaii. If someone gave grief over cycling (or anything for that matter), they would be looked at like a bad work place citizen.

Shimano 6703 shifter lasted 2 weeks. Don't know what happened.

(First off, I will be contacting Shimano tomorrow to return the shifter for warranty replacement.) EDIT: *Still going to call, but acknowledge this is my fault.* I thought I would write it up here...
