I'd rather risk that than make a bad purchase. Plus it's not exactly ideal. I've also found a similarly used (ie barely) Specialized, Felt, and a Fuji all for less and in a bigger size.

Just FYI, the Coiler is based off the same frame as the Dawg, but is set up with more of a bias towards freeride and less towards riding trails. Not to say you couldn't ride trails with it though.

I picked up a Marin Bolinas Ridge on sale last year for $250. It has Acera components and a 70 mm travel fork, so I think you could jump to an 80 mm if you wanted to upgrade later. I hope so anyway....
