the GT is $400, sure its somewhat negotiable though. and just looking at the 300 to 400 level bikes at bikesdirect. so many choices...

i thought about the groupset change out, cheaper than a new bike but i would need some tools, and thought wheels and groupset would be wisest and than i'm really looking at putting more into the bike...

i hope it didn't read like that. ideally i'd like both, but my budget would only afford one new bike and it woul d have to be a lower end bike. there are some MTB that are lighter and more speeds...

nice find... I was riding my 87 Bordeaux to the park and a guy was asking me about it and said he thought he had an old Peugeot at his house. he ended up texting me later and said he still had it....
