The Salt River in Phoenix

Normally the river bed is dry. There are pools of water where effluent from streets and who knows where drains into the river. This year our reservoirs have filled and they are releasing water...

Telegraph Pass in South Mountain Park

Every fourth Sunday the park has "Silent Sunday". They close most of the roads to auto traffic. I rode to Telegraph Pass, then hiked a quarter mile to the National Trail Lookout above the pass....
