You can still purchase them from sources in the industry. Internet is your friend. If there is an older bike shop close they might have these hubs for scrap parts. It’s what I do.

Ive not noticed any loss of efficiency between the two wheel sizes. Harshness neither. Might be down to me being a lite rider, 130lbs. The Brompton is a full wheelbase length so stability is better...

Found another stem in my bin to try. Brought the rise up to about 4” from the saddle. Might have one more to try then decide between them. Wheels will come from a geared 20” bike, maybe a Trek....

Back in the 87-90 time frame several companies built these bikes to try and add another twist to the BMX racing scene. Even Shimano jumped on board with a designed component, a crankset I believe.
