I would say that's not an uncommon thing from Schwinn, my 1976 Superior frame was produced in 1974 if I remember correctly.

I picked up an unknown year Selle Italia Flite Genuine Gel saddle which is in mint condition, never used! It has vanox rails so I'm not sure if that helps determine age. I'm thinking mid 90's.

That's just my opinion. Original paint should bring more money unless it's pretty awful. Plus, the original paint showed off the lug...
