What have I gotten myself into?!!! I can mount the tire without a tube. With the tube, I can't see the tube when I'm trying to get the last 4" of the bead over the rim. Are there any other tires...

Hi,
I'm trying to fit a Continental Gatorskin 700x23 to a Campy Omega hardlox 700c rim. It's definitely not happening. Are these two compatible?
