In this particular case, they gave me the option...

In this particular case, they gave me the option to just do a straight swap, or pay for the risers. I opted to just do the swap. I will see how the summer goes and pick up another set over the winter...

I am glad that the good folks of bikeforums...

I am glad that the good folks of bikeforums steered me in a better direction. I rode all weekend, about 50km's in total. The bike rides super smooth! I swapped out the drop bars for a set of risers....

I ended up building this bike hanger/shelf with some industrial pipe I had. Stained the wood, bought a few pieces here and there. It was super easy to do and the total cost was around $50.
