I have been having the same problem with my Garmin 500. Cadence works fine but can not get it register speed. Have changed battery repositioned sensor, hit reset, no help.

Sorry what I am meaning by quits, is it does not get a reading. It goes to zeros. I do think it has to do with my Garmin Edge 200 or my Nite Rider lumens 500.
