dont know the bikes specifically myself, but you probably want the ability to run the fatter tires for a bike you ride...

depends. if the chain and the cog are worn, then yes, if they are fairly new, then no. there are various methods to check for chain stretch, IMO the best of which is using a steel ruler. 12 links...
