Thanks, the purple is anodized aluminum. No paint and tubulars are the reason the bike is so light. I would love to see Specialized build another run of anodized frames.

Orange is such a good bike color. Keep the gum walls. Orange (and yellow) bikes always look good with them. I highly recommend white saddle and tape though.

Not sure what you're looking for by "sticky". There are a few tires that seem to make up the overwhelming majority of tires used during races. When running clinchers I like Specialized Turbo Cottons.
