Worry about bike weight?

I'm going to do my first bike race this year. I'll be doing the Tour of Kensington Valley, and the Milford Criterium. Both in Milford, MI.

What I'm wondering is this: my bike is close to 12 lbs....

High end? Is the Look 595 Ultra out of range? Thor Hushovd I believe rode the regular 595. The Ultra is stiffer. Should be able to withstand your weight and strength with zero issues.
