I will give you guys a report on my state (missouri) time trials competition on saturday. I am competing in the 55-59 Masters category and unfortunately in our state we get stuck doing the 40K TT....

Yes, this st louis regional event does have a 1 and 1/4 mile time trial. I know kind of strange with such short distances. The state senior games have a more conventional 5k and 10k.
