I think the stem length is perfect. Right now I’m pretty happy with everything. The fit is spot on, but time will tell with the shifters and grips. I still might go friction later.

Straight axel, bearings are in cages and all there. I must’ve bent the dust cover when I put it back in. Had an extra that I carefully installed and everything is fine now.

$15 to save this bike, it’s going to take a little elbow grease and rusted nuts to replace. But for the price I think it’s worth it. So far nothing is stuck or broke....

Using this Mavic headset with cantilever brakes, do I have any other options than a stem with a hole? I’ve searched for clamp on stops but can’t find any small enough to clamp onto the 22.2 stem....
