they have that retro tactile feel. I have not used one for years but they are not that bad for commutting. Obviously, STIs are far superior but if thatīs all you have then they work fine.

I think e-bike really changed the game. Most older people buy ebikes to commute so I see them zip by me all the time. I think circa 2030 we will see a bunch of those rare 1970s/1980s lugged steels...

I rely on ebay for old parts but it is strange that components are drying up. Either people donīt upgrade as much as they are used to or people just sell through other channels other than ebay.

I meant the golden era of 26 inch wheels mountain bike with disc brakes. Personally, I donīt really need front suspension so a hard frame regardless of material and weight work fine for my purpose....
