The best locking strategy is to just use a u-lock and lock up next to a bike that is A) Nicer B) Easier to steal C) both. C + U-Lock equals best method.

I got an IRD and popped off the cups and replaced them with French Threaded Cups, not the phil ones. Cheaper ones.

Nah, I am not cool enough to go brake less. I can get to a stop pretty quickly by alternating legs and locking the rear wheel though. But down steep hills and in traffic, I prefer to have a brake.
