I've heard that the steel cages will brake after some time if you put them on a regular 23.8mm drop bar, so I got the Purecycles 22.2mm drop bar and the thumbies fit with no need to open the cages....

At the time I was looking the only sellers were from the US and with the shipping rate of around 60 USd I could have a new fork with 22.2mm plus adaptor instead.
Luckily I found a nice 21.1 quill...
