Probably does not matter much. You do get better filtration and humidification inhaling through your nose, but I suspect for most situations it does not matter much.

IMO the only downside is the "usual" way to rotate tires (replace rear tire when worn and move front to rear, put new one on front) won't work.

Use whatever gearing suits your situation.

I do suggest you be sure the hook is plastic or rubber coated. Bare metal could scratch the carbon fiber if you are in a rush and not careful.
