I'm considering the HED Bastognes instead. They're $150-$200 cheaper and only about 50g heavier. They look like an excellent all around choice.

I haven't heard the best things about the ceramic bearing upgrade in the Ardennes. Maybe they have the bugs worked out by now.

I've also heard the 190 lb. weight limit is pretty close to spot on. If you're over or are close and an aggressive rider go for the heavier build.

Also, if you're planning on racing them, you'll have issues with your spare/backup wheels if they don't have the same rim width.

The older ones (pre-2008?) supposedly weren't made with the C2 rims and are narrower. I think those are the ones Cambria Bike has on closeout.
