I'm 5' 8.5" with a 29.5" inseam. My CF bike that I was professionally fitted to is a 51cm seat tube Giant. I bought a used Bianchi that I really like. It's a 57cm seat tube, it fits like a glove. So does the Giant. So does the 53 cm seat tube Cannondale. My 58cm seat tube 86 Nishiki took a little work, but it fits and I do 50 mile rides on it.
My point is, you can't tell what size frame you'll ride until you try that manufacturers frame in that model bike. This is especially true with newer, CF frames due to all the design variations.
