No problem on the barcons. I'm running a Veloce triple crank with Mirage 9 sp ders. My LPB orderded the Ergo, $10. and that's all she wrote. The Jtek mentioned above is the #1. You can use it to mate pre 2001 set of shifters with a post 2001 rear der. That's an undocumented fix though.
